The Louis Berger Group is currently supporting Clean Line Energy Partners in siting, public outreach and agency coordination services for the 650+ mile high voltage direct current Grain Belt Express Clean Line Project. The Grain Belt Express Clean Line will deliver 3,500 megawatts of low-cost, renewable wind energy from Western Kansas to Eastern Missouri and points further east, creating lasting economic and environmental benefits for the region.
With the assistance of LBG, Clean Line Energy Partners has begun the route development process for the line and has recently held a series of community leader roundtable meetings across Kansas and Missouri to inform community stakeholders about the project and gather input. In the coming months and years, LBG will continue to support the public and agency outreach process, finalize the route selection process, support state regulatory process efforts and conduct field investigations and permitting efforts for this addition to the nation’s electric transmission grid.
