The Louis Berger Group is providing construction and project management for the development of a $20 million project to construct sports fields, training facilities and administrative offices for the New York Red Bulls, a Major League Soccer team. LBG is acting as the owner’s representative; we manage the activities of the environmental, site, civil, architectural and MEP designer for the site, which will include the placement of six fields – four with artificial turf playing surface and two with natural turf playing surface. Our responsibilities focused on civil and site engineering aspects of the redevelopment project beginning at concept development and mapping and continuing through design, environmental permitting, municipal approvals, and construction. LBG is also coordinating the local planning approvals and environmental permitting for the project. The proposed buildings include a 40,000 SF training and administrative building, a fabric structure to cover one of the sports fields and ancillary buildings to support maintenance of the facility and sporting events.
