Narragansett Bay Commission Combined Sewer Overflow Abatement Program

Louis Berger won a 2009 Project of the Year award in the public works category from New York Construction Magazine for the Narragansett Bay Commission Combined Sewer Overflow Abatement Program. The $320 million project is a three-phase multi-year effort to virtually eliminate sewer overflows into Narragansett Bay. Phase 1, completed October 2008, received the award. The project's groundbreaking took place in May 2001.

The New York Construction Magazine "Best Of" awards honor projects that succeed in teamwork and project management, safety, innovation, contribution to the community or industry, overcoming unique or difficult challenges, construction quality and craftsmanship, and function and aesthetic quality of the design.
