Morris Canal Greenway Feasibility Study

The Morris Canal originally extended from Pennsylvania to the New York/New Jersey harbor and served as a primary means of transporting goods in the region before railroads became a popular means of transportation. The Morris Canal Greenway Feasibility Study examined ways to repurpose the Morris Canal as a cross-county greenway to connect communities throughout Passaic County, N.J., and link environmental, recreational, economic and historic resources.

New Jersey Future awards Smart Growth Awards to those who promote the organization's mission to secure economic opportunity, community vitality and quality of life for all New Jerseyans.
