Louis Berger has worked in more than 29 countries across Europe since the 1960s. Today, the firm has 13 plus offices on the continent and completed more than 500 projects throughout Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States.  

The firm operates across a number of market sectors including water, environment, buildings and facilities, energy and institutional development. We have also worked extensively in transportation, providing comprehensive services ranging from preliminary/concept design and financial services to construction supervision and maintenance.

Louis Berger’s operation in Europe also has provided institutional development services to the United Nations, European Commission and French Development Agency.

Some of the company’s most notable projects in the region include Portugal’s West Toll Highway, the first privately financed motorway in Portugal, and the PAThE motorway (A1), Greece’s oldest and most important connection between its two largest cities: Athens and Thessaloniki.

Louis Berger also provided construction management and engineering services for the Sava River Bridge in Belgrade, Serbia, among the tallest single pylon bridges in the world.
