Louis Berger won a Leadership Award from the Newark Regional Business Partnership (NRBP) for its work on the Interstate 78/West Peddie Street ramp reconfiguration project in Newark, N.J. The firm’s tasks included carrying out an environmental assessment, public outreach and related environmental studies for the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The environmental assessment involved analyzing a range of potential impacts on the local communities. The public outreach component of the program led to an agreement to relocate a local elementary school to a new site within the community, but outside of the project area.
