Louis Berger - NJ Turnpike (2).jpg

Louis Berger was recognized by the New Jersey Alliance for Action with a Distinguished Engineering Award for its work on the Interchange 7A reconstruction project. The Interchange 7A reconstruction involved four Louis Berger offices working across the transportation engineering business unit. Work was completed under the first of two contracts issued for the reconstruction, which is part of the $2.7 billion New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s Interchange 6 to 9 Widening Program. The project schedule was accelerated to maintain the overall construction sequencing of the interchange while design for the relocation of a 30-foot petroleum pipeline was completed. Progression of this project allowed the subsequent interchange construction contract to proceed at a normal pace, saving the Authority money and maintaining a logical sequence to the work.
The New Jersey Alliance for Action is a non-profit, non-partisan coalition advocating for investment in infrastructure for the state’s economy, environment and quality of life.
