The Navy Region Pearl Harbor Naval Complex historic context report

Louis Berger was recognized with a Preservation Commendation award from the Historic Hawaii Foundation for its work on a report titled “The Navy Region Pearl Harbor Naval Complex Historic Context Report,” which describes the history of the Pearl Harbor basin area from the pre-Contact era through the end of the Cold War.

Louis Berger’s team of cultural resource experts consolidated historic research, overview surveys, historic mapping and photography into a single report that provides a comprehensive historical overview of the Navy's historic properties and resources in the area. The report, done in collaboration with NAVFAC’s Hawaii's Historic Preservation Division (EV5) section and WCP Inc., will be used to inform NAVFAC's facility planning and management of the Navy’s historic sites at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

The Historic Hawaii Foundation award honors exemplary achievement in the field of historic preservation and recognizes projects that support Hawaii’s architectural and cultural heritage.
