Louis Berger received an Engineering Excellence Distinguished Award from the New Jersey chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) for work on New Jersey’s Garden State Parkway Interchange 9, 10 and11.
From the project’s start in 2004, more than 100 Louis Berger team members have worked to improve the Garden State Parkway Interchange 9, 10 and 11. The project consists of replacing the existing signalized intersections at Exits 9, 10, 11 by constructing three new grade separated interchanges. Louis Berger skillfully navigated the construction process and implemented changes that increased community connectivity, mobility and traffic safety.

Projects are judged based on originality, innovation, value to the public and the engineering profession, complexity, social and economic considerations, sustainability, and exceeding client needs.
