Louis Berger was recognized with a New Jersey Alliance for Action Distinguished Engineering Award for the Garden State Parkway Interchanges 9, 10 and 11 project. The assignment involved more than 100 Louis Berger team members working across engineering and environmental studies departments. The upgrades, which included the removal of traffic signals at three intersections and the reconstruction of intersections into full highway interchanges, are expected to alleviate traffic congestion and improve safety throughout Cape May County, N.J. Louis Berger’s duties involved preparing designs, conducting environmental assessments and securing environmental permits. The construction of the improvements is expected to be completed in September 2015.

The New Jersey Alliance for Action, an association focusing on capital construction and economic growth opportunities in New Jersey, recognizes projects for their uniqueness and positive impact on New Jersey's economy and environment with the Distinguished Engineering Award.
