MORRISTOWN, New Jersey — Louis Berger and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) have selected Takudzwa Benox Mugabe (Newark, N.J.) and Hardik V Patil (Parsippany, N.J.) as Louis Berger Graduate Fellows for the upcoming 2017-2018 academic year.
“We’re excited to welcome our new fellows to Louis Berger and support their passion for finding solutions for a better world,” said Bob Nardi, Louis Berger principal associate, planning and economics. “This program, through its challenging and enriching opportunities, will empower them to become future leaders in engineering.”
In 2014, NJIT, in cooperation with Louis Berger, established a special graduate internship and fellowship program for students pursuing a master’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, architecture, engineering management, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering. This program gives second-year graduate students the opportunity to pursue and fund their master’s degree while conducting professional work with Louis Berger during summer internships in one of its global offices.
The 2016-2017 NJIT/Louis Berger Fellows spent their summer working and assisting the Qatar team on the Doha Metro project and in Washington D.C., supporting a municipal asset management program.
Louis Berger and NJIT have a long-standing relationship as many current and former Louis Berger employees are NJIT graduates. In addition to the Louis Berger Fellowships, the company also supports NJIT through the Louis Berger International Scholarship for graduate students and the Louis Berger Endowed Scholarship for undergraduate students.
