DUBAI – Louis Berger, a $1 billion global professional services firm, today announced the addition of Markos Apostolides to its Middle East and North Africa (MENA) team as vice president and managing director for the company’s United Arab Emirates (UAE) business operations. Apostolides will be based in Dubai.
“This appointment significantly strengthens Louis Berger’s operations as we continue to expand our business in the region,” said Thomas Topolski, Louis Berger executive vice president and managing director for MENA. “Markos has extensive knowledge and experience within the region and industry.”
In this role, Apostolides will focus on maintaining and building relationships with Louis Berger's clients as well as supporting project managers in their delivery of projects. Apostolides will also foster Louis Berger’s collaborative environment, nurture continuous improvement and play a major role in winning new work.
Apostolides joins Louis Berger from AECOM, where he was responsible for winning major work. Multilingual, Apostolides has been in the Middle East since 2004 and, prior to that, in Mozambique and Angola. His experience includes major rail and metro, water supply and building projects as well as being a successful bid director.
He has a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the École supérieure d’ingénieurs de Beyrouth and an M.B.A. from Warwick Business School.
