MORRISTOWN, N.J. — Louis Berger has announced two new leaders within the water market. Raed EL-Farhan will serve as Louis Berger’s global water market sector lead and Rick Schoenthaler joins the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) division as the regional lead for water and waste water.
As Louis Berger’s senior vice president and global water market sector lead, EL-Farhan will provide strategic direction for Louis Berger's water practice across its operating companies worldwide. He previously served as the vice president in charge of the company’s science and water resources division and has more than 20 years of experience as a consultant, professor and university researcher. During his career, he has worked in water resources systems development, stormwater management, flood control, navigation, hydropower, recreation, water supply, and water quality and ecosystem restoration. He has a depth of experience working with clients to support technical and policy issues related to water for national, state, municipal and private industry clients in the United States, Middle East and Asia.
Rick Schoenthaler joins Louis Berger as vice president for its MENA water and wastewater sector. In this role, Schoenthaler will be responsible for growing the Louis Berger’s presence in across the region. Schoenthaler has more than 36 years’ work experience in the United States, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and KSA, having worked with a variety of government and private sector clients. He has been based in the MENA region for the last 14 years, managing water sector consulting services.
