Naval Station Rota is a strategic U.S. Navy and Air Mobility Command base on the Mediterranean Sea in southern Spain. It supports the U.S. fleet in the Mediterranean and AMC forces en route to Europe and southwest Asia.

As a busy travel destination and transfer point for the Navy and the AMC, the base demands efficient air terminal ground handling services.
Solution
Under a contract with the U.S. Transportation Command, Louis Berger provides a full spectrum of ground handling services at Naval Station Rota. Louis Berger’s duties include air terminal operations, load planning, special handling of hazardous cargo, joint inspection, transient aircraft services, flight line sweeping and passenger baggage handling.
Louis Berger’s management at the base counts many successes, including:
